Produced from the finest FSC approved timber, the natural beauty and properties of timber shine through in this designer shutter range. Specifically designed to cope with the harsh South African weather, the paint specification and hardware choice on this product is industry leading.
These adjustable shutters can be used both internally, the most popular choice, or externally. Solid Obeche is the standard timber used, however any exotic timber is available in this range.
Not just limited to square openings, triangles and arched windows look fantastic when dressed in a solid wood Mediterranean Shutter.
Lead times are on average 4 weeks from measurement to installation, and because they are locally manufactured the shutters can be produced concurrently to your building or renovation.

Our recently introduced imported shutter range
As the name implies, these shutters are manufactured from MDF. MDF is a man made product manufactured from a combination of timber fibres and glue. (MDF = Medium Density Fibre - commonly known as SupaWood in South Africa)
MDF is inherently extremely stable and warpage on this range is minimal. The MDF is wrapped in a hardwearing coating, which is extremely durable and resists scratches and chipping very well.
Due to the wrapped finish, ECO MDF Shutters are available in 5 white & off white finishes. Stained finishes are not available in this range.
A unique framing system has been devised for this range, which helps to cut out light and hide uneven masonry. The shutters are also available with traditional centre tild rod, or with a geared "easy tilt" system where no control rod is visible. Due to the geared design of this system, motorising of the louvers is possible, and a brilliant option for double volume windows.
Whilst there is a lot of competition in the imported shutter market, we have a unique relationship with the distributor, which gives us direct factory access to the manufacturer. This ensures not only the best pricing, but also an assurance of quality.

We offer two different ranges of aluminium shutters.
ShutterGuard is the security aluminium shutter that has taken the market by storm. With an innovative, patented system it provides an almost impenetrable barrier against burglars, without your house looking like a prison.
ShutterGuard is manufactured entirely from aluminium and stainless steel, with a durable powder-coated finish, and is therefore impervious to rust, wind and weather. It can also be fitted inside windows and sliding doors, and the slats are fully adjustable to provide a clear view or to ensure privacy. With a central locking system, it provides an attractive and functional security system.
Eco Aluminium is designed primarily as an external shutter or patio enclosure. Similar in appearance to the ShutterGuard, but without the security aspect built in. Additional weather protection is provided on this shutter to ensure the product is very close to watertight.
Available in a wide range of powder-coated finishes, this all aluminium shutter has a hollow core louver, which provides huge solar protection. The heat reduction or retention, from having your shutters externally is close to 40%, which results in lower heating or cooling costs. With the rising cost of energy this system is an investment that pays for itself.

Internally the Shoji screens offer a distinct change from the norm. Manufactured to incorporate their rich Japanese heritage, the sliding or folding options bring these screens straight into the 21st century. Custom made in a wide variety of paint or stain finishes, and with either sandblasted glass or a moisture resistant poly fibre, the choices are endless.
Our aluminium and timber slatted screens have been designed for the contemporary home where clean lines are the pre-requisite.
Brilliant at filtering sunlight, wind and rain these screens are a modern alternative to traditional louvered doors. Fully lockable, the security element is also a welcome relief for freestanding homes.

Again a range of shutters with two distinct options
Luxaflex® Classic Shutters are fashioned with precision, quality, durability and the enduring belief that beautiful custom-built shutters should be everywhere in the home – even where harsh conditions exist. Manufactured from a Polyresin 3 Vinyl, they will not warp, crack or swell due to water exposure.
With a simple 2-part hinge they can be simply removed and washed with a hose. Ideally suited for all areas of your home especially above kitchen sinks and in bathrooms. Their high level of energy efficiency makes Luxaflex® Classic Shutters a real energy saver.

Thermowood Shutters are a PVC based engineered wood substitute that has been tested in the USA under both humid and arid conditions. Practical and elegant, it is a perfect finish to your decor.
It is manufactured from extruded PVC and is impervious to moisture, will not crack, split or warp, and is easy to clean. Thermowood offers excellent control of light and temperature. Each set of shutters is custom-built in Cape Town and is installed by our trained staff, to fit exactly and function perfectly.
